What is the difference between CosMedix peels and other traditional peels?

What are the types of CosMedix peels available?
CosMedix Correct Peels are defined as “Today's Peels” and “Tomorrow's Peels”.
*All peel packages are performed by a Registered Nurse that also include a skin analysis and recommended skincare regime specifically for your individual needs.
Today
Today's Peels use natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) to help freshen and exfoliate the skin. These peels require no prior preparation of the skin however prepping the skin is always of value because of the increased stimulation activity of the skin, therefore results may be enhanced.
Blueberry Smoothie Peel
Indications: Particularly good for oily/problem skin, but also effective as a rejuvenating treatment.

- Sun damaged skin
- Dull, lifeless skin
What it does: A concentrated superficial scrub with the potent antioxidant benefits of blueberries. Designed to smooth uneven, damaged epidermis. It will help stimulate cell activity and create a mild amount of remodelling.
Results: A rejuvenated, clean complexion.
Recommended Number of Treatments: Usually as a one off treatment to help refresh the skin’s appearance.
Degree of Peeling: No peeling of skin, minimal to no redness.

Purity Peel
Indications:
- Acne (all grades)
- Oily/congested skin
- Enlarged pores
- To control excess sebaceous oils
- Hyper pigmentation
- Photo damage
What it does: A soothing, exfoliating moderate depth treatment to detoxify and help clear the skin of blemishes, heal acne lesions and reduce inflammation. Controls excess sebaceous oils and fights bacteria.
Results: A glowing, dewy complexion.
Recommended Number of Treatments: 3 - 4 treatments every 2 - 4 weeks.
Degree of Peeling: Skin may produce mild to no peeling.

Benefit Peel
Indications: The best all around peel for all skin types

What it does: Potent antioxidant peel combining Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) and Vitamin A (AGP complex) to nourish, repair and protect. Collagen stimulating. Calming and soothing.

Recommended Number of Treatments: Clients with Rosacea must prep for 3 - 4 weeks and a course of 3 peels once every 3 - 4 weeks is recommended.

Tomorrow
Tomorrow's Peels are stronger treatments formulated to make the skin look tighter and smoother. They are designed to improve the appearance of damage done yesterday. These peels require 10 to 30 days of advance skin preparation prior to application.
Timeless Peel:

Recommended Number of Treatments: Course of 3 every 3 - 4 weeks.

Deep Sea Peel
Indications:
- Melasma/hyper pigmentation
- Acne/mild acne scarring/skin impurities
- Pre-mature ageing
- Environmental/photo damage
What it does: This “potent” non-acid peel relies on the healing power of the ocean to generate collagen, exfoliate and stimulate cell turnover at a deeper level. Superficial to medium depth peel (epidermal/dermal layer).
Results: You will feel the refreshing action of this unique peel for up to 24 hours after application but the remodelling continues for days. The result is smoother, denser more hydrated skin.
Recommended Number of Treatments: Must prep skin for 2 weeks prior for this one off treatment. 6 - 8 weeks between multiple treatments. Number of subsequent treatments required will vary between individuals.
Degree of Peeling: Will appear flushed the day of treatment, may experience mild swelling the following day and possible light to moderate flaking of the skin on day 3 - 4 post treatment.

Correct Kit
