Nose Reshaping

Procedure and Recovery

  • The procedure takes about two to three hours and is performed under General Anaesthetic
  • You may return home later the same day
  • The bone and cartilage are carefully reshaped
  • Attention is also given to the air passages
  • Scars are not visible as they are made inside the nostrils
  • You'll be up and around the day after surgery
  • A fibre glass splint is placed on the nose to maintain the new shape and to protect it for about a week
  • Cold compresses on your eyes reduce swelling and bruising
  • Bruising around your eyes starts to fade within a couple of days and disappears within two to three weeks
  • You may return to work after two weeks
